Sensei Teresa Griffin (4^th Dan Shotokan Karate)

As a mother of 2 (at the time), Sensei Teresa Griffin took up karate to share a hobby with her husband. She went on to achieve her first Black Belt in 1979 and subsequently became the first ever Lady All-Ireland Karate Champion. Sensei Teresa now uses her successful tournament career to mentor the up and coming stars with Curam de Cara Academy of Martial Arts. She received her 4^th Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate in February 2007.
